Assistant Patrol Leader

apl The Assistant Patrol Leader (APL) is the second-highest-ranking junior leader in the patrol. The assistant patrol leader acts as the patrol leader in the absence of the patrol leader or when called upon. He also provides leadership to other scouts in the patrol.

Leadership Position Coordinator: The Senior Patrol Leader.

Duties of Assistant Patrol Leader:

  • Helps patrol leader lead meetings and activities.
  • Helps with plans and steers patrol meetings
  • Helps keeps patrol members informed
  • Sets a good example
  • Enthusiastically wears the Scout uniform correctly
  • Lives the Scout Oath and Law
  • Shows Scout Spirit
