Attendance

Troop 567 is a very active troop both in outdoor activities and in community service. We firmly believe that in order for a Scout to reap the benefits of Scouting, the Scouts needs to be fully engaged in the troop activities.

Experience shows that Scouts that are actively involved in the troop are the ones that enjoy the benefits the most.

The following should be considered the minimum commitment from a Scout:

  • Attend most of the Scout Meetings.
  • Participate in Troop planned events, parades, flag ceremonies, camp outs and fundraiser’s
  • Attend a minimum of six Scouting events during the year
  • Commit to a minimum of 8 hours of community service work
  • Participate in the Scouting for Food Event.

It is understandable that a Scout will miss meetings due to any other commitments. A large number of events are organized for the Scouts throughout the year, and it is assumed that Scouts will attend most of these events. District Events and upcoming planned Troop events will be posted on the Troop calendar.

If you are elected to a Troop position of leadership, you are expected to lead by example and your participation is more crucial to the success of the Troop. Your fellow scouts gave you that trust to lead them, be there for them.

For rank advancements, Active Unit Involvement, is a requirement. This does not mean 100% participation, although we do encourage it, it is expected that you have been actively involved with troop activities and events, not just merely registered in the troop.
