In sports you can’t play if your not in uniform. What would make you think that doesn’t apply in scouts. Make sure you have your correct uniform.
Class “A” uniform is to be worn at all Troop meetings, except on the FIRST THURSDAY meeting of the month (See below), if no other special Troop meeting is taking place. Class “A” uniform is to be worn on all Troop Outings, to and from. Class “A” uniform is always to be worn in any event that a Scout is representing the Troop, those events include fundraising. Class “A” consists of Scout tan shirt, Neckerchief, Green, khaki or leather scout belt, Scout pants or shorts, Shoes, Green Shoulder Tabs (if your uniform has red numbers you should be wearing red Tabs), Scout socks.
Class “B” uniform night is the FIRST THURSDAY meeting of every month, when no Court of Honor is in session. All other meetings wear your Class “A”.

Class “A” uniforms:
Shirt. The Scout Tan Class “A” shirt is the main part of the uniform. You should sew your troop 567 numbers, council strip, patrol insignia and any rank patch on this shirt. Remember if you earned the Arrow of Light as a Cub Scout, that is the only Cub Scout emblem that you can wear with your Scout uniform.
Belt (s). The official BSA belt is required as part of the uniform. It is part of the class “A” and “B” uniform. This belt may be any green or khaki web. Or, a leather type with only scouting details. If you need help adjusting your belt contact a leader or the troop instructor.
Neckerchief. This is a optional part of the BSA uniform. However, our troop has standard neckerchief which is part of the Troop Class “A” uniform, which is awarded to the Scouts upon reaching the rank of First Class. Follow this link to learn on how to tie the Troop woggle.
Socks. You should have a pair of green scout socks and there are 3 types you can get (anklet, calf or knee) but the knee socks you shouldn’t need. You can order them from the Scout Shop.
Shoes. Good comfortable closed toed shoes that lace up are fine. NO flip-flops are allowed, except in a shower stall. They can be hiking boots, sneakers, Crocs, boat shoes or others. Just keep them clean and you will be fine.

Hats / Caps
Caps are optional, but only Scouting baseball caps are to be used when wearing the Class “A” uniform. Troop 567 has an olive green baseball cap with harvest gold 567 embroider on it. These caps are very useful in identifying our Scouts when going out on large gatherings and keeping a standard troop look.
When hiking or camping a hat or baseball cap for sun protection is highly recommended.
Non-Scouting Baseball Caps are not allowed.
